The newly announced expansion will deliver 54MW* of critical IT load. This increased capacity is in addition to a 21MW expansion of the existing campus (V5 and V6), which was announced in May of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Vantage has secured a 9-acre site located approximately 2 miles from its existing Santa Clara campus. Designs for the new campus feature four separate data center buildings and a dedicated substation, with construction starting on the site in 2017. Capacity will be delivered in phases, beginning in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s 54MW* new campus announcement underscores Vantage\u2019s strong commitment to supporting our customers\u2019 long term growth in Santa Clara\u201d, said Sureel Choksi, President and CEO, Vantage Data Centers. \u201cWhen combined with the 21MW planned expansion of our existing campus, Vantage has secured 72MW of total expansion capacity in this highly constrained market, solidifying its position as Santa Clara\u2019s leading wholesale data center services provider.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVantage has acquired land in a coveted Silicon Valley market that is currently experiencing low levels of supply for wholesale data center capacity despite high demand.\u201d said Jabez Tan, Research Director, Data Centre Infrastructure at Structure Research. \u00ab\u00a0Demand fundamentals still remain strong in the Bay Area and the outlook remains bullish for uptake of data center capacity with cloud providers being the primary customers. Location and proximity to end users is a characteristic that continues to drive growth in one of the top data center markets in the US.\u201d<br \/>\nRecent Company Highlight<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Vantage\u2019s $295M bank facility upsizing, completed in February 2016, increased the credit facility to $570M in total and will support continued growth and expansion.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Vantage has 15MW of capacity under construction at its first Santa Clara campus, including its new 6MW V4 facility, all of which are scheduled for completion by fall of 2016.
