(QMI) subsidiary, for approximately US$200 million (CA$259 million).<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition of 4Degrees expands Vantage\u2019s coast-to-coast presence in North America to six markets, adding campuses in Montreal and Quebec City to the existing Santa Clara, Northern Virginia, Phoenix and Quincy, Washington campuses. The 4Degrees data centers bring Vantage\u2019s total number of operational facilities to nine and total number of data centers under development to five.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCanada is an extremely attractive market for hyperscale, cloud and enterprise customers,\u201d said Sureel Choksi, president and CEO, Vantage Data Centers. \u201cOur acquisition of 4Degrees drastically decreases our time to market and increases our ability to provide the premier service and space that our clients desire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vantage will immediately start expansion projects in both markets to accelerate 4Degrees Colocation\u2019s original plans to bring total capacity up to 31MW.<\/p>\n<p>Maxime Gu\u00e9vin, a leader in the construction, sales and management of data centers, has been named vice president and general manager of Vantage Canada, after serving as the general manager of 4Degrees Colocation for four years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 4Degrees team has been in lockstep with Vantage throughout the closing process,\u201d said Guevin. \u201cOur cohesive team is prioritizing the creation and management of superior data center facilities across North America to support some of the world\u2019s top brands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company plans to hire additional staff in both Canada markets to support its expansions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Vantage Data Centers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vantage Data Centers is a leading North American wholesale data center provider in six strategic markets: Silicon Valley; Northern Virginia; Phoenix; Quincy, Washington; Montreal and Quebec City, Canada.
