As senior vice president of new site development at Vantage Data Centers, Bruce Stephenson is responsible for leading the new site development process across the company’s markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa, including driving all shovel-ready activities for existing and new markets. With more than 20 years of experience in delivering cost, project and program development services across varied sectors within the construction industry, Stephenson is seminal to Vantage’s ongoing European development and expansion.
Prior to joining Vantage, Stephenson served as the global development director at Colt Data Center Services where he was responsible for discovering and establishing new market growth. During his time at Colt, Stephenson lead the development of 300MW of IT capacity in the span of two years. Earlier in his career, Stephenson served as EMEA development director at Global Switch and head of construction at e-shelter, now NTT.
Stephenson is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a globally recognized professional body promoting excellence in the development and management of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure.
He is a graduate of the former University of Port Elizabeth, now Nelson Mandela University, with a Bachelor of Science in quantity surveying and business management.
