Mark Freeman

Serving as vice president, global marketing at Vantage Data Centers, Mark Freeman leads the company’s global corporate and product marketing programs. He is responsible for building brand awareness, driving demand generation and increasing customer engagement.

Freeman has more than 23 years of strategic marketing experience delivering high-impact business results, including growing market share, acquiring and retaining customers, launching products, expanding into new markets and rebranding companies. Throughout his career, Freeman has been a part of numerous public and private companies. He is a trusted advisor and business partner, working with various executives and department leaders to deliver shareholder value through organic and M&A growth.

Prior to joining Vantage Data Centers, Freeman served as the senior director of marketing at DuPont Fabros Technology (DFT Data Centers) where he was responsible for advancing the company’s brand, accelerating organic growth through direct and indirect sales channels, and diversifying the company’s markets and product offerings.

Freeman has extensive experience in a range of sectors, including technology (SaaS, hardware, wireless communications and physical infrastructure), services and publishing. He played an instrumental role in the growth of organizations such as CalAmp, Wireless Matrix, BizFlow, Balfour Beatty Construction and Standard Publishing.

He is a founding board member of the Data Center Coalition and a member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and Infrastructure Masons. In 2020, he was recognized by Data Economy on its CMO 50 listing of the world’s most influential marketeers in the data economy and by DCA Live as a top CMO in the Washington, D.C. area.

Freeman graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in public relations and a double minor in marketing and journalism. He also holds a Master of Science in marketing from The Johns Hopkins University.
