DENVER (November 17, 2020) – Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, today announced the expansion of its leadership team with the addition of Carol Harper Vernon as vice president of global legal.
Vernon joins Vantage to oversee the company’s commercial matters, including legal and corporate governance in support of Vantage’s global strategic opportunities, business objectives and corporate development. With nearly 25 years of legal experience within the data center, telecommunications and internet industries, Vernon brings to Vantage an extensive background in managing a variety of legal strategies, including financial transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leasing, as well as vendor and customer agreements.
Prior to joining Vantage, Vernon founded HV Law LLC where she served as a managing member. She acted as outside general counsel for several organizations within the data center and technology industries, including Vantage, to provide corporate and real estate advice to help meet their strategic business goals. Before HV Law LLC, Vernon served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, at ViaWest Inc. (now Flexential) and was responsible for developing and guiding the company’s overall legal policies. While at ViaWest, she also acted as lead supervising attorney on all bank and private equity financings and M&A activities, including more than 10 acquisitions.
