As chief product officer for Vantage Data Centers, Robin Balen leads the company’s global product vision and roadmap, working across regions and functions to drive innovation and deliver world-class data center solutions for customers. Balen has more than 25 years of international leadership experience and plays a central role in advancing the company’s unified product strategy that keeps pace with fast-evolving technologies and customer needs.
Balen is a seasoned technologist and executive who has guided hyperscale infrastructure solutions for some of the world’s largest data center users. Before joining Vantage, he founded Asymptote Solutions, an advisory firm focused on large-scale data center strategy and delivery, where he provided strategic consulting on complex, multi-stakeholder hyperscale infrastructure programs exceeding 2GW globally. Earlier in his career, he founded and led Gyron Internet Limited, a U.K. data center company acquired by NTT, where he pioneered modular data center plant architecture, sustainable cooling systems and renewable energy integration. Balen spent nearly two decades leading and scaling the platform, including seven years in senior leadership roles following the acquisition.
Balen has long championed next-generation data center infrastructure that advances sustainability, efficiency and scalability. Throughout his career, he has focused on strengthening customer agility while building cohesive global frameworks for product design, iteration and long-term innovation.
