As chief development officer for Vantage Data Centers in North America, Michael Stoner leads the end-to-end data center development lifecycle, delivering entitled, power-ready, construction-ready sites that support long-term growth capacity, customer commitments and financial discipline. He is responsible for advancing the company’s development pipeline by aligning market strategy, site selection, energy procurement, new site development and preconstruction activities with customer demand and business objectives.
Since joining Vantage as a consultant in 2014, Stoner has played a pivotal role in the expansion of Vantage’s North American portfolio. Most recently serving as senior vice president of market development in North America, he brings more than 35 years of experience in data center development, real estate and infrastructure projects, along with deep expertise in customer requirements, land acquisition, energy strategy and utility partnerships. Throughout his tenure at Vantage, he has helped identify and develop high-value sites across North America, enabling the company’s continued growth in an increasingly constrained power and land environment.
Prior to Vantage, Stoner founded and led Lake Street Ventures, a real estate development company. He has contributed to numerous award-winning developments throughout his career.
