As senior vice president of operations, Paul Macpherson is responsible for physical security and site operations for Vantage’s North America business. Macpherson has more than 20 years of experience in the data center industry delivering operational excellence for leading cloud computing and colocation service providers within key global markets.
Macpherson most recently served as vice president, operations for Vantage’s APAC business. Earlier in his career, he was the vice president of construction and operations at Agile Data Centers, a company acquired by Vantage. Before Agile Data Centers, Macpherson was the director of infrastructure operations at Amazon Web Services (AWS) where he was responsible for managing the operations of the company’s data centers in Australia, Japan and South Korea. During his nine-year tenure, his achievements included establishing operations in Australia, Bahrain and India, as well as operations management oversight for China and Singapore. Macpherson also served as operations manager at Equinix (Australia) and manager of operations at Interxion (Netherlands).
