Serving as chief financial officer, North America, at Vantage Data Centers, Sharif Metwalli is responsible for leading financial strategy and operations across the company’s largest regional market. He oversees finance, accounting, capital markets, financial planning and analysis, and regional financial performance to support continued growth and operational excellence.
Previously, as global chief financial officer, Metwalli drove Vantage’s strategic financing solutions for organic growth and global market expansion, including executing debt and equity financings that funded the development of dozens of hyperscale data center campuses across global markets. With more than 25 years of experience, Metwalli has played a critical role in accelerating Vantage’s growth, profitability and long-term shareholder value.
Prior to joining Vantage, Metwalli served as managing director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, advising clients in the data center and communications sectors. He executed debt and equity financings, as well as mergers and acquisitions transactions, totaling more than $37.5 billion between 2015 and 2017. Before SunTrust, he served as a director at Wells Fargo Securities.
Metwalli received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
